The Hong Kong International Airport, located in Chek Lap Kok, Lantau Island, New Territories, was officially completed and opened to traffic on July 6, 1998, with two runways. A third runway is being constructed via land reclamation to the north of Airport Island, covering an area of approximately 650 hectares, which is equivalent to the construction of an entirely new airport. Upon full operation, the airport’s annual passenger capacity is expected to reach 120 million, with an annual cargo volume of 10 million tons.
This project is under the jurisdiction of the Hong Kong Airport Authority, with the general contractor being a joint venture between China Hydropower, China Electric Power Construction, Baohua Construction, and Macau Jianxin. The scope of work involves the preliminary foundation treatment for the ultra-deep and large foundation pit of the west-side driving tunnel. The design scheme utilizes a three-axis deep cement mixing (DCM) process (Φ 800@600 mm), with a total contract quantity of approximately 500,000 cubic meters.
The project employed 12 large DCM construction machines, and our company was responsible for the execution of the construction tasks. The work was carried out over a period spanning January 2021 to November 2021, ensuring high-quality and precise implementation of the foundation treatment.
Qinzhou Power Plant project was planned to have a total installed capacity of 3200MW, divided into two phases. The first phase of the project was to construct 2×600MW supercritical coal fired generating units, which were completed and put into operation in 2007. This phase of the project was the second stage of construction, construction of two 1000MW ultra-supercritical coal units and supporting projects. It was started on November 17, 2012 and completed on October 19, 2014.
The construction of this project included three processes: pile diameter 800mm, 1000mm, 1200mm concrete
pouring pile; PHC 500mm pile; pile diameter 600mm cement-soil mixing pile. Rotary-dug bored piles:
use alloy barrel drills for mudstone construction to improve construction efficiency.
This
project won the "2018 China Electric Power Quality Project Award" and the "2018-2019 National Quality Project
Award".
This project is located in Hengqin Island New District, Zhuhai City. It was planned to construct 8
sets (8×390MW) in the first phase to construct 2 F-class combined cycle cogeneration units and the
supporting heat (cold) network system. The pile foundation was started in May 2012, and the project
was put into operation for power generation in November 2014.
The construction technology covers
punching bored piles, rotary drilling bored piles, PHC piles, cement mixing piles, offshore steel pipe
piles, etc. The geological conditions were complex, and the construction technology was difficult.
The pile depth was about 50m, and the field average was 33m deep, soft plastic and flowing plastic state silt pile construction, hole formation, pouring and filling coefficient control. The construction technology of the bored pile with the rotary drilling rig and the percussion drill relaid. Control the length of pipe piles on large undulating bedrock surfaces. The project won the "2016-2017 National Quality Engineering Award". Our employee Zhang Xiaoxuan won the "2016-2017 National Quality Engineering Award Outstanding Contributor".
