The Yuen Long-Yau Tong Sewage Pipeline Renovation Project is located in Yau Tong, Yuen Long, and Kwun Tong districts of Hong Kong. This project falls under the jurisdiction of the Hong Kong Drainage Services Department, with China Water Resources and Electric Corporation Limited serving as the main contractor.
Our company is responsible for TBM pipe jacking, PE pipe threading, and grouting construction. The Yuen Long section (Φ 1500 TBM pipe jacking) is divided into 11 smaller sections, with a total length of 2,401.92 meters. The pipe jacking materials for this section consist primarily of steel and concrete pipes. Construction involves traversing through complex geological layers, including muddy clay, sandy soil, and muddy clay layers.
Similarly, the Yau Tong section in Kwun Tong District (Φ 1200 & Φ 1500 TBM pipe jacking) is also divided into 11 smaller sections, covering a total length of 2,659.81 meters. This section primarily uses concrete pipes and requires excavation through layers such as coarse sand, medium sand, granite, solitary stones, and muddy clay.
Construction began in August 2022, and our company has deployed four TBM rock jacking machines to ensure efficient and precise completion of this complex project.
